To keep your LOTS shoes in their best condition, we recommend the following:
1. STORE WITH CARE
Always store your shoes in the dust bag provided when not in use. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
2. KEEP AWAY FROM LIQUIDS
Avoid contact with water, oils, grease, perfume, alcohol, cosmetics and other liquids, as these may stain or alter the leather.
3. PROTECT THE SHAPE
When putting on closed shoes, use a shoehorn where possible to avoid damaging or weakening the back of the heel.
4. AVOID COLOUR TRANSFER
Take care when wearing your shoes with dark denim, strongly dyed fabrics or other materials that may transfer colour onto the leather.
5. ALLOW THEM TO REST
Avoid wearing the same pair continuously for extended periods. Allowing leather shoes to rest between wears helps preserve their shape and allows natural moisture to dissipate.
LAMBSKIN LEATHER
Lambskin is naturally soft and delicate. Remove surface dust gently with a clean, soft and dry cloth. Avoid excessive rubbing or harsh cleaning products.
For conditioning or deeper cleaning, use products specifically formulated for delicate leather and always test them first on a small, inconspicuous area.
SUEDE
Use a soft suede brush to gently remove surface dust and restore the texture. If the suede becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally before brushing.
Avoid direct heat and standard leather creams.
PATENT & HIGH-SHINE LEATHER
Gently wipe with a clean, soft cloth. Do not use standard shoe creams or waxes unless they are specifically formulated for patent or high-shine leather.
WOVEN & DELICATE DETAILS
Handle woven leather and decorative details carefully. Avoid pulling, scraping or excessive friction, which may damage the surface or construction.
WHEN IN DOUBT
For significant stains, scratches or damage, we recommend consulting a professional leather or footwear specialist rather than attempting intensive cleaning at home.
